Progress right now is equal parts grit, glue, and momentum.
The newest addition—a camper—is officially being converted into a dedicated Zoom room and office for hypnotherapy sessions. It’s fully off-grid and already pulling its weight. Power is dialed in with solar panels, a charge controller, dual battery setup, inverter, USB ports, lighting, speakers, and radio. Everything is running clean and stable, which is exactly what you want before trusting it with client sessions.

The flooring project inside that camper deserves its own mention. What started as donated roll linoleum scraps—four different patterns, not enough for a single clean install—turned into a design problem worth solving. The solution: cut everything into diamonds and build a 3D cube pattern using light, medium, and dark tones. It’s tedious work. Repetitive. The kind that tests patience. But the result is striking—dimensional, custom, and completely one-of-a-kind. Sometimes limitations force better design than abundance ever could.

A Quick Reality Check on “Rebel Roots”
Recently, we received a formal cease and desist letter from an out-of-state business claiming rights to the name “Rebel Roots.”
Out of curiosity—and due diligence—we took a closer look.
A simple search shows something pretty obvious: “Rebel Roots” is not a unique or isolated name. It’s being used across multiple industries, in multiple locations, by a wide range of businesses, brands, and creative projects. From farms to coffee companies to media platforms, the name appears broadly in public use.
That matters.
Trademark rights—especially unregistered, “common law” claims—are typically limited by geography, industry, and consistent use. Rebel Roots Farm operates as a nonprofit, off-grid agricultural and community-based initiative in New Mexico. The business asserting the claim operates in a completely different industry and location.
Those distinctions are significant.
We are taking the situation seriously, reviewing the claims carefully, and ensuring that everything we do remains aligned with both legal standards and our mission.
At the same time, we remain focused on what actually matters: building something real, serving our community, and continuing the work that’s already in motion here at Rebel Roots Farm.
Because at the end of the day, a name only carries weight when it’s backed by action.
Outside, the land is responding.

The clover is coming in strong, which is a big win for soil health and upcoming pollinator plans. The greenhouse continues to take shape, steady and functional. The rocket mass heater build is underway—piece by piece, it’s turning into a serious heat solution. Not flashy, but efficient and built to last.
The tractor is back in action too. It’s been pushed, stuck, worked hard, unstuck, and pushed again. That’s just part of life out here—if nothing ever gets stuck, you’re probably not doing anything meaningful.
On the community side, Rebel Roots completed its first service project: helping an elderly couple get their irrigation system back online. Simple work on paper, but high impact in reality. Water access is everything. That’s the kind of effort this place is meant to multiply.
There’s also a convergence point coming up—a full day where multiple paths collide. The same day brings three major events: the arrival of the bees, a court-ordered mediation related to the land, and the start of hypnotherapy internship onboarding. That’s not a light schedule. It’s one of those “everything at once” moments that tests systems, focus, and resilience.

Behind the scenes, another major build is taking shape: the Rooted Empowerment Method workbook and its companion app. This isn’t just content—it’s a structured system designed to guide people through real internal change. The app is being developed to act as a dynamic companion, adapting prompts, reflections, and exercises based on user input. It’s been a heavy lift, but progress is real and accelerating. The goal is to release both the workbook and the app at graduation, forming the foundation of the hypnotherapy practice moving forward.
Everything right now is in build mode—land, systems, tools, and inner work all moving at the same time. It’s not polished. It’s not quiet. But it’s working.
And that’s what counts.
