Founder Story

I didn’t come to New Mexico as a beginner. I came as someone who had already farmed, raised animals, and lived close to the land in multiple states. I thought I understood hardship. I thought I understood adaptation.

New Mexico humbled me.

So I did. I sought out mentors. I studied desert ecology, regenerative soil systems, and water stewardship through formal coursework and hands-on learning. I immersed myself in research, including large-scale desert restoration efforts that proved barren land can be brought back to life.

Rebel Roots exists for them as much as it exists for the land.
